welcome to
Dark Brown
Productions
DARK BROWN PRODUCTIONS is an independent narrative film company focused on amplifying female and female-identifying voices — particularly women of color — through unapologetic, culturally rooted storytelling.
Based in New York, we draw from real-life experience and diverse cultural identity, with a particular emphasis on Indo-Caribbean and diasporic perspectives, to bring fresh, unfiltered stories to the forefront. Our work challenges traditional norms and sparks meaningful conversations.

Simple Life with Tammy
Watch Tammy demonstrate “expectations” and “reality” in an effort to live perfectly according to standards set by present-day social media.
The Note
A woman sits by herself in the comfort of her own self until a stranger appears with an important message.
Bancroft & Singh (coming soon)
Britany, a vegan feminist, and Dahlanie, a non-gifted influencer, gallivant through life, never minding their alcohol intake, and seemingly not having a timeline for any adult-oriented goals all while believing they’re saving lives with their subpar social media content.
